Business Intelligence Team Lead (15.08)
OCT Consulting, LLC is an SBA-certified, 8(a) small business management and technology consulting firm that provides support to Federal Government clients. We provide consulting services in the areas of Strategy, Process Improvement, Change Management, Program and Project Management, Acquisition/Procurement, and Information Technology.
OCT is currently looking for a Business Intelligence Team Lead. This position is contingent upon contract award.
Responsibilities/Duties:
● Provide expert leadership and guidance in performance for supporting business intelligence operations with dashboards, standardized statistical dataset requirements, supporting dashboard and visualization governance, and collection and maintenance of visualization requirements for development.
● Analyze large sets of data to integrate multiple data sources to address business processes and issues and recommend access restrictions and policies to help ensure information security
● Create and maintain data visualizations to decision makers at all levels in a timely manner
● Develop and implement strategies to communicate visualization goals and objectives to stakeholders and validate appropriateness and completeness of data visualizations.
● Train and support stakeholders in understanding and navigating dashboards effectively.
● Collaborate with inter-directorate teams to develop and execute strategies to promote the use of data visualizations.
● Host workshops and training sessions to educate users about dashboard.
● Gather requirements through interviews, surveys, document analysis, or use case development to ensure comprehensive understanding of the stakeholder needs. Ensuring requirements are validated to ensure accuracy and relevance.
● Creating user stories that clearly express the goals, motivations, and needs of the stakeholders and users.
● Support for geospatial data and visualization products, tasks could include providing spatial data analysis, data visualization (advanced mapping), and cartography using ArcGIS.
Requirements
Qualifications:
● Bachelor of Science in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related degree and subject with at least five (5) years of experience leading data visualization efforts
● Post-Graduate Degree in Data Science, Statistics, or Machine Learning preferred.
● Over 5 years of hands on experience in building data visuals and dashboards for large multi source databases
● Over 3 years of immigration policies and adjudicative processes and associated data
● Over 2 years of hands-on experience in using 6 geospatial data formats and understanding of map projections and geodetic concepts to employ into visualization products.
● Over 3 years of hands on experience with ArcGIS
● Over 3 years of hands on experience with Tableau
● Over 3 years of hands on experience with Databricks
● Over 3 years of hands on experience with Jira
● Over 3 years of hands on experience with GitHub
● Over 3 years of experience in leading 10+ team of data business analyst
● Over 3 years of direct experience in working Agile delivery teams
● Strong written and verbal communication skills
● DHS or DOS experience in US immigration domain highly desired
Must be able to obtain and retain a Public Trust clearance.

Salary Range: $190,000-220,000 to commensurate with experience, education, etc.
