As a Contract Specialist IV at ARETUM, you will play a critical role in managing and overseeing the contracts process for our projects, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and facilitating successful collaborations with clients and vendors.

Responsibilities
- Interface with Government Technical Monitors (GTM), Contracting Officer’s Representatives (COR) and Contracting Officers (CO) and provide any support needed
- Perform and obtain market research; obtain/verify funding availability for purchaserequests; administer de-obligation request and assist CORs with fund tracking andobligation.
- Electronically search for contract history and status within ILMS system and providecorrespondences and status updates as needed.
- Contract file creation and maintenance; proper file management; monitor contract and/or contract option expiration and other timeframes and advise GTMs and CORs; accordingly, review and edit requisitions for any contract modifications; prepare contract closeouts, apply contract administration principles and practices including monitoring contractor performance, preparation of contract modifications,
- Communicate orally and in writing, including email, with all parties involved in all procurement related matters
- Must be willing to visit various program offices to review procurement requisition packages, analyzes the requirement, recommends revisions to the required documents or specifications as necessary, and provide guidance on recommended contract types or vehicles for acquisition
- Must be well versed in the Interpretation of contract provisions, citations, and clauses.
- Must provide appropriate advice and guidance when needed
- Provide support and assistance to other Procurement Analysts in essentially all areas of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). Must be willing to serve in an advisory capacity to team members providing training and knowledge to better support the offices mission of providing outstanding support
- Contractor may be directed to conduct post-award conferences, and recommend resolutions to performance deficiencies
- Provide support in technical writing, acquisition planning and strategy, and market research ensuring compliance with program and administrative guidance and regulation
Requirements
- Eight or more years of primary contracting activity
- FAC-C Level II or III (or DAIWA equivalent) certified (preferred)
- Experience in independently reviewing and drafting Statements of Work and determining appropriate applications
- Experienced in independently reviewing and drafting Independent Government Cost Estimates and determining appropriate application
- Experienced in independently drafting and/or reviewing Justifications and Approvals for Sole Source Selection and determining appropriate application
- Able to work under pressure with a team
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and Excel
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, including email
- Excellent analytical skills
- Able to learn and process Visit Authorization Requests for Department of State building access
- Contract file creation and management skills
- Strong familiarity with purchase requests created by program offices
- Maintaining a working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and agency supplemental regulations; following all applicable acquisition procedures.
- Active Secret Clearance
