The Creative Content Manager will own, create, and execute content initiatives to improve our Life Cycle Marketing efforts, and will support managing all owned, earned, and paid media channels.
The best candidate will be a creative thinker with a content marketing skill set - they can see the big picture while also exhibiting a scrappy, roll-up-your-sleeve spirit. The Creative Content Manager will join a lean and growing team, so this candidate should thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a unique balance of creative, analytical, and strategic thinking skills. Passion, an entrepreneurial spirit, outstanding copywriting skills, and a can-do attitude are a must.
Requirements
Must-Have Requirements for Success
- Deep Understanding of Hair Extensions, Natural Hair, and Black Hair overall. Must possess in-depth knowledge of the various installation methods for hair extensions, and natural hair curl patterns, and be able to confidently articulate how to style them in both oral and written form.
- Strong sense of style and taste with a keen eye for aesthetics, and an understanding of “Black Girl Luxury” as well as modern, elevated, minimalistic design.
- You consider yourself a wordsmith with extremely strong copywriting skills and the ability to channel the tone of an elevated black female audience in their late twenties to mid-forties.
- Stays adept at beauty and social media trends and can serve as a go-to for what’s “current” in media and industry.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and reliable project management skills. You are known to stay on top of things and never miss a deadline.
- Proficient photo editing skills.
- Graphics, GIF, and Video editing skills are a plus
Responsibilities
- Create and manage a content calendar for all owned channels ( Email, SMS, Push) while also supporting our CMO with ideating and executing content marketing strategies on all earned and shared channels, including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, Blog, Pinterest, YouTube, and Tik Tok resulting in channel growth, increased engagement, and driving e-commerce revenue.
- Visual Gatekeeper - Alongside our Creative Director, serve as a gatekeeper of our brand’s visual aesthetic to ensure all content creative is aligned with our brand's identity and standards.
- Verbal Gatekeeper- Serve as a gatekeeper of our brand’s tone of voice and positioning to ensure all content creative is aligned with our brand's identity and standards.
- Brand Storyteller - Engage in copy editing and storytelling to translate brand messaging and marketing initiatives across owned, earned, and shared media.
- Influencer Marketing- support with identifying and developing nano, micro, and macro influencer engagement initiatives
- Manage creative agencies and contractors to streamline processes while creating high-quality, on-brand, content that yields high engagement and ROI
- Support with coordinating all brand photo and video shoots.
- Manage all visual assets for omnichannel content distribution
