Clearwaters.IT is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer Subject Matter Expertise (SME) to oversee the design, development, implementation, and integration of Military OneSource architectures and systems across computing, network, and enclave environments, ensuring compliance with DoD Information Assurance (IA) requirements. The role involves ensuring that both development and operational systems are secure and functional, including program of record systems and special processing nodes with IT interconnectivity. Key responsibilities include evaluating security requirements, implementing security systems, and verifying system integrity through test scripts. The SME will also ensure compliance with DoD and federal cybersecurity policies and assist in updating cybersecurity policies. Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree, 15 years of relevant experience, and expertise in DoD cybersecurity tools and AWS cloud security technologies.

This position is 100% remote and requires an active Secret clearance.
· Responsible for the design, development, implementation, and integration of Military OneSource architectures, systems, or system components for use within computing, network, and enclave environments meeting DoD IA requirements.
· Ensure that the architecture and design of development and operational systems are functional and secure, including designs for program of record systems and special purpose processing nodes with platform IT interconnectivity.
· Determines security requirements by evaluating business strategies and requirements; researching information security standards; conducting system security and vulnerability analyses and risk assessments; studying architecture/platform; identifying integration issues; preparing cost estimates.
· Implements security systems by specifying intrusion detection methodologies and equipment; directing equipment and software installation and calibration; preparing preventive and reactive measures; creating, transmitting, and maintaining keys; providing technical support; completing documentation.
· Verifies security systems by developing and implementing test scripts.
· Ensures compliance with relevant DoD and federal cybersecurity policies, standards, and practices.
· Assist in developing and updating cybersecurity policies and procedures.
· Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity tools such as Enterprise Mission Assurance Support System (eMASS) and Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS).
Requirements
· Holds at least a bachelor's degree and 15 years of related experience.
· Must be a US Citizen, fluent English speaker and must hold a Secret or higher clearance.
· Strong knowledge of DoD Instruction 8510.01, Risk Management Framework (RMF) for DoD Information Technology (IT).
· Proficient in security technologies and tools relevant to AWS cloud environments.
