Want to break into digital? Get your start with us. Middle Seat is a digital consulting firm working for progressive candidates, political committees, and organizations. We’re looking for a full-time digital ads coordinator to take on the challenge of managing advertising campaigns. This role is an opportunity to learn the ins and outs of running political and advocacy advertising campaigns to raise money and build email lists via digital advertising. NOTE: This is a temporary, full-time position on our team starting immediately and ending on November 15, 2024.
Job Responsibilities
- Run ad campaigns from start to finish:
- Write and review ad content, including spell check and policy check.
- Coordinate with other departments within Middle Seat.
- Traffic ads and ensure proper placement.
- Monitor live campaigns and track results.
- Generate reports on campaign performance.
- Write compelling ad copy with clear theories of change:
- Create persuasive and impactful ad copy.
- Develop messaging that encourages supporters to donate, join, or support clients.
- Capture the voice and perspectives of clients in the ad content.
- Set up and review ad campaigns on various platforms:
- Familiarize yourself with platforms such as Facebook, Google, and List Vendors.
- Create and monitor ad campaigns on these platforms.
- Assist with A/B testing:
- Collaborate on testing different elements, including content, design, targeting, and landing pages.
- Analyze results to optimize campaign performance.
- Support strategists with client communication:
- Aid in client communication as required, providing assistance to strategists.
- Manage ad vendor communications and project management:
- Liaise with ad vendors for external ad purchases.
- Coordinate project management tasks related to ad buys.
- Handle client CRM management:
- Upload client lists to the CRM system.
- Build landing pages for campaigns.
- Generate reports from the CRM system.
- Learn best practices for direct donate, acquisition, and persuasion campaigns:
- Acquire knowledge of effective strategies for different campaign types.
- Understand how to design tests and interpret results.
- Integrate ads into digital programs and align them with organizational missions.
- Provide strategic feedback and contribute ideas.
- Perform other requested responsibilities as needed.
Requirements
- Interest in working on advertising campaigns on major platforms (Facebook, Google Ads, The Trade Desk, etc.)
- Demonstrated commitment to progressive politics
- Project management skills (reliably stays on top of multiple projects, anticipates obstacles, engages the appropriate team members when necessary, sets goals and sets up processes to achieve them)
- Responsible & proactive with assigned tasks (completes tasks on time or ahead of their due date; consistently looks for opportunities to better campaigns with ideas and has a can-do and creative approach to work)
- Able to work extended hours when needed; comfortable being available for urgent client requests outside of normal business hours during election season
Strongly Preferred but Not Required
- Agency or campaign experience
- Experience working in digital ads
- Strong persuasive writing skills
- Knowledge of different political CRMs (Action Kit, Action Network, NGP, etc.)
