Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Office of Enterprise Integration (OEI) Office of Data Governance and Analytics (DGA) is charged with supporting VA’s transition to a secure unified person-centered data model and establishing the necessary VA data management policy and strategy. OEI DGA seeks to improve centrally led data management and related infrastructure to enable a holistic view of the Veteran at the point-of-service, enterprise reporting and analytics, and an accurate assessment of progress and successes.
640 Acres plans to support OEI DGA in the following areas: creation of enterprise-wide datasets and products, data collection, records management, and the development of an Analytics Catalog. This work is instrumental in helping VA implement enterprise-wide strategic data analytics.
Responsibilities
· Performs tasks requiring program planning, audits, and evaluations related to large- scale programs (including program analysis, strategic planning, integrated master scheduling, event planning, congressional affairs, metrics, financial management, and risk management).
· Provides analysis, validation, research, planning, and design in support of projects.
· Assists with project management, PRA system proposal, forms analysis, PRA documentation, metadata and data standards identification and inventory, data quality, CVAD provisioning, and marketing materials.
Requirements
Required Skills/Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in a related field
· At least ten (10) years of experience performing the duties and responsibilities described above in a related field.
· Ability to gather business requirements, model process flows, and design use cases.
· Knowledge of program management concepts, acquisition lifecycle equities, business operations, business processes, and/or technology environments.
· Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
· Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office software package.
Desired Skills/Qualifications
· Experience supporting federal government customers (previous VA experience highly valued)
