World Central Kitchen, Inc. (WCK) seeks a talented Banking Operations Specialist for its Finance team. This individual will be responsible for a variety of banking team duties crucial to the efficient operation of WCK's financial processes and in support of the organization's mission. The ideal candidate must be reliable, detail-oriented, possess a deep understanding of bookkeeping procedures, and excel in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Location (Where You Are):
Reporting directly to the Manager of Banking with direction from the Director of Finance, this exempt position requires a sincere dedication to WCK's mission. While the position is primarily based in Washington, DC, the opportunity for remote work may also be considered. Occasional travel may be required.
Responsibilities (What You Will Do):
- Execute banking financial operations, including but not limited to accurate and timely uploading of bank payment files (including batch uploads as well as set up of individual wire payments), payment application in accounting software, setting up vendors in accounting and banking platforms; researching and resolving banking and payment application issues.
- Ensure wire set ups in the banking platform are accurate.
- Responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completion of vendor onboarding in accounting and banking platforms.
- Review and processing of expense reports; including collaborating with internal clients to ensure compliance with WCK policies, accurate coding of expenses, and reconciling credit cards.
- Reviewing and processing prepaid debit cards used during activations by Response Corps members, to ensure compliance with WCK policies and accurate coding of expenses.
- Assist with setting up and sharing coding/dimensions for new activations and events; including completion in accounting, expense reporting, and prepaid debit card platforms.
- Handle sensitive information in a confidential matter.
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- Assist with month-end period closing and other projects as required.
- Prepare accounting and financial reports, charts, and summaries as necessary.
Requirements
What We Are Looking For:
- Associates degree in banking or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong understanding of general accounting principles, bookkeeping functions, and banking procedures.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet frequent deadlines.
- Capable of working autonomously and as part of a team.
- Comfortable working both remotely and in an office setting.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills with a professional demeanor.
- Adaptable to changing priorities and departmental demands.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, detail-oriented and reliable.
- Proficient in Sage Intacct, Expensify, Stampli or similar accounting, billing and expense reporting software.
Preferred candidates will also have an associates degree (or 3 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree), previous experience working in a nonprofit, humanitarian, or relief organization, multilingual skills and multi-cultural experience.
