Full Job Description
- $20 per hour + car allowance + phone allowance + benefits
- City Wide Facility Solutions provides over 20 building maintenance solutions to save our clients time and help them solve problems. We are seeking an experienced 2nd shift janitorial supervisor who is interested in helping us grow the business in SWFL while growing your career at the same time.
- This is not an office job. You will meet with the 1st shift management team between 4pm-5pm to share information and develop a strategy for the night. Then you will be coordinating night crews and visiting 6-10 of your accounts each night. Being bilingual is not a requirement but is a decided advantage in our industry.
- If you like a fast paced work environment where your work is recognized and rewarded, and you value knowing that your work is essential to the success of the team, then keep reading!
- Night Managers (NMs) are supervisors, coaches, and detailed (white glove) inspectors. Your 1st priority will be to ensure all scopes of work are executed in the buildings you are responsible for. You do this by meeting with crew supervisors (independent contractors) and reviewing the scope, providing building specific detail, communicating complaints and requests, confirming (with photos) that complaints and requests are resolved, managing crews who are completing nighttime projects like floor work, and completing administrative tasks like sending nightly inspection recaps and closing out tasks in the company software.
- Your typical shift will run from 4pm-12:30am.
- You will be responsible for maintaining an organized set of keys or key cards for your buildings and ensuring that any entry codes, alarm codes, etc. are saved in the company’s software.
- You will be responsible for answering all phone calls from crew members from the start of your shift at 4pm until the end of your shift. We will trust your ability to decide when a complaint, request, or question is urgent enough to contact the primary account manager (Facility Solutions Manager or FSM) at night, and it will be your task to contact them and resolve any issues.
- You will not always be present when work is done in buildings, you may arrive after the crew has finished their work. In these cases, and even if the crew is still present, you will do a final walk-through of the facility to ensure the building’s scope was 100% executed. When you find it was not, you will take actions to correct it.
- As the lead member of management on the 2nd shift, you will be expected to send in very detailed nightly summaries that include: confirmations of work completed, issues/complaints/requests that you both notice and receive from the 1st shift as well as how they were resolved, a rating of the crews you work with each night and feedback on whether we need to provide extra training, extra kudos or make a crew change on an account.
- You will be responsible for ensuring all crews use only approved, commercial grade, equipment, and chemicals.
- Experience in cleaning, using equipment like buffers, floor (auto-scrub) machines, carpet cleaning devices like truck mounted extractors, etc. will empower you to effectively coach and supervise the crews. Training for gaps in knowledge is provided.
- Night Managers are an essential part of the account management team, and play a role in retaining clients, executing great project work at night and in starting new accounts the right way. You will be responsible for working with the crews from start to finish the first 3 nights of any new account start to ensure that they have staffed the job correctly, tasked the work appropriately, and completed the full assigned scope.
