The Team and Job SummaryWe are seeking a Regional Financial Director to join our Global Finance team reporting to the Group Financial Controller (who is based in London). This is a unique opportunity for an entrepreneurial, highly driven person with a well-rounded skill set to join the team, whose responsibilities extend beyond those of traditional finance leader. You will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing financial reporting, operations, strategic planning, and compliance for the Americas region based out of Miami. Job Responsibilities
Team Leadership And Collaboration
- Develop, lead and mentor the Americas finance team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Coordinate with the global finance teams to ensure consistency in financial processes and reporting in a matrix structured environment.
- Oversee day-to-day finance operations for local market (including billing and collections), while managing the region.
- Address and resolve accounting issues.
- Play an active part in the regional leadership team.
Financial Reporting
- Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements for the Americas region.
- Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate the annual audit process.
- Provide regular financial updates to senior management and the board of directors.
Strategic Financial Decision-Making
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives and special projects.
- Evaluate investment opportunities and assess their financial impact on the organization.
- Provide financial and operational insights to support key business decisions.
Cash Flow Management
- Monitor and manage cash flow, ensuring optimal liquidity for daily operations and strategic investments.
- Provide weekly 13-week Cash Flow forecasts to Group Finance which incorporate all the strategic and operational elements of each business within the Americas region
- Manage and supervise Treasury activities for the region, including weekly cashflow.
Financial Planning And Analysis
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support the organization's goals and objectives.
- Conduct thorough financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting for the Americas region.
- Provide insightful financial reports to the executive team, highlighting key performance indicators and trends.
Risk Management And Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, reporting standards, and tax laws.
- Coordinate and comply with the tax and transfer pricing reviews of each country within the established deadlines.
- Identify and assess financial risks, proposing effective mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure adherence to local and international financial laws.
- Update the group's incoming Legal support platform with legal documents, meetings, minutes, board meeting, and all legal and shareholder matters.

Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Qualified Accountant
- Proven experience in a senior finance role, preferably as a Controller in a multinational organization operating in the Americas region, preferably including experience in a luxury travel and/or cruise operation. Good knowledge of regional financial regulations, taxation, and compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with a focus on problem-solving.
- Excellent leadership, business acumen and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and regions.
- Ability to operate effectively in a complex and growing global matrix structure.
- Commercial acumen and effective contributor to the wider regional business/operational leadership team.
- M&A due diligence and integration experience (desirable)
- Advanced proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
