The Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Center Consultant to advise on the design, construction, and management of a cutting-edge data center in Florida. This data center will be powered by green energy and will have computing power sufficient to support Metaverse, AI, and large immersive experiences. The ideal candidate will have specialized experience in GPU compute environments and a deep understanding of data center infrastructure, security, energy efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
What You'll Do:
- Lead the design and construction of the data center from the ground up, ensuring it meets the technical requirements for supporting GPU-intensive applications such as AI, machine learning, and high-performance computing (HPC).
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to develop detailed plans and specifications for the data center infrastructure, including power distribution, cooling systems, and hardware optimization for GPUs.
- Implement robust security measures at both the physical and hardware component levels to protect sensitive data and assets.
- Manage complex projects from conceptualization to execution, ensuring they meet technical specifications, budget constraints, and timelines.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors to procure necessary hardware and equipment, negotiate contracts, and oversee implementation to ensure project requirements are met.
- Implement energy-efficient practices and sustainable solutions in the design and operation of the data center to minimize environmental impact and reduce operating costs.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements related to data center operations and data security.
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience in designing, building, and managing data centers with a specific focus on GPU compute environments.
- Familiarity with GPU-intensive applications such as AI, machine learning, and HPC.
- Deep understanding of data center infrastructure, including power distribution, cooling systems, and hardware optimization for GPUs.
- Knowledge of leading GPU technologies (e.g., NVIDIA, AMD) and their deployment in large-scale environments.
- Experience in data center security, including physical security presence and infrastructure and hardware component-level security.
- Demonstrable project management skills, including experience managing complex projects and relevant project management certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL).
- Strong vendor management skills, including experience negotiating with and managing hardware suppliers and engineering firms.
- Knowledge of energy-efficient practices and the ability to implement sustainable solutions in data center design and operation.
- Understanding of industry standards and compliance requirements related to data center operations and data security.

The base pay range for this position is $80,000 - $100,000. The base salary range is applicable across the United States and the offered rate may vary based on factors such as experience, education, market conditions, and location.
