Full Job Description
As a Service Technician, you will complete small construction projects and respond to service calls from customers. They perform electrical installations alone or with others, manage small crews, estimate project timelines and material requirements, identify sales opportunities, and ensure work is completed within code requirements.
Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities
Tasks may include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Run small crews and complete small projects independently or with a team.
• Estimate project timelines and material requirements, presenting written estimates to the service manager.
• Identify sales opportunities and build strong relationships with customers.
• Communicate effectively with vendors, owners, service managers, and team members to ensure project completion within budget and schedule.
• Update as-built drawings and ensure work is completed within code requirements.
• Determine efficient installation methods for changes to existing services.
• Communicate daily with the service manager regarding scheduling and work progress.
• Obtain and order materials as needed.
Qualifications: Education, Experience, and Skills
Required:
• Minimum 5 years of electrical experience in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
• Journeyman Electrical License
License/Certification
Preferred:
• Valid Drivers License
Associated Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Professional communication skills with clients and contractors.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Previous experience as an electrical worker
- Ability to complete common repair and maintenance tasks with minimal supervision
- Experience with commonly used hand and power tools
