Fetch Specialty & Emergency Veterinary Centers is seeking experienced Veterinary Technicians to join our growing team in Brandon, FL. As a privately-owned emergency and specialty veterinary hospital, we offer advanced and specialized veterinary services to our clients and referring veterinarians. Our team of veterinary professionals provide compassionate care and exceptional customer service to our patients and clients alike. The Emergency Vet Technician will work in a fast-paced environment, providing high-quality care to pets in emergency situations. With the support of our experienced team, you will have the opportunity to utilize and expand your skills while making a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians in treating and stabilizing pets in urgent care and emergency situations
• Take and record vital signs, including but not limited to, temperature, pulse, respiratory rate, and blood pressure
• Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
• Perform diagnostic tests and procedures, including blood work, urinalysis, and radiology
• Monitor and document patient progress and update medical records accordingly
• Provide thoughtful and compassionate communication to pet owners and referring veterinarians
• Provide a thorough patient history
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required, Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Technology preferred
• Must have at least one year of experience in veterinary medicine
• Exceptional patient care and client communication skills
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
• Knowledge of ezyVet software is a plus
