Full Job Description
Provide representation and technical support for the purpose of installing, commissioning, and trouble-shooting Italian-built equipment sold by Zecchetti USA in the U.S. marketplace. This may include Canada and Mexico. This position requires traveling to and remaining on-site to complete assigned projects at customer plant locations throughout the continental U.S. and Canada. Provide on-site supervision and support to customers to install & erect palletizers, depalletizers and conveying systems, and other equipment sold by EMS Group USA, after delivery of this equipment to the customer’s plant site.
· Make the required mechanical adjustments to the EMS Group USA supplied equipment to run the customer containers, pallets, and other packaging materials. Work with PLC and Electrical Systems to verify proper operation and make required adjustments.
Requirements
Education: Not less than a 2-year college level, 4 year BA or BS in related area of study preferred. Must have strong mechanical/electrical back ground, some programming education or experience on PLC systems with the Allen Bradley SLC500 and Control Logix 5000 a plus.
Experience: Three to Five years’ manufacturing or engineering experience with a background involving either manufacturing of equipment or field installation of equipment. A clear understanding of shop practices and manufacturing, robotics and electrical systems is an important aspect to experience based skills.
Abilities:
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in verbal, written, diagram or schedule form.
- Must be able to read engineering drawings of various types, machining, welding, fabrication and assembly.
- Must have good PC computer skills and must be comfortable using PC and PLC interface hardware. Understanding of Windows Office based programs and AutoCAD a must.
- Must be able to perform basic math and arithmetic without error.
- Ability to use conventional hand tools required for assembling manufacturing equipment. Use of standard office equipment also required, such as personal computer, telephone, fax, and duplication equipment. Must have basic computer skills and must be comfortable using PC and PLC interface hardware
