- Description: As a Junior Full Stack Developer, you’ll be an engineer of our mission, collaborating with our lead developers, and the executive team, to develop scalable healthcare solutions. This role offers a possible transition to an eventual full-time position for the right team member, and the chance to work with cutting-edge AI tools, including conversational interfaces designed to drastically improve the patient-provider matching experience. Key Responsibilities:
- Backend Development & Scalability: Build and optimize scalable systems using Laravel Nova, focusing on secure, adaptable solutions that support rapid growth and handle increasing demand. Ensure all systems comply with healthcare data security standards.
- Feature Development & Agile Iteration: Collaborate with the development team to rapidly develop and deploy new features. Use an agile approach to continuously gather user feedback and iterate on key functionalities, such as healthcare provider matching and patient lead management.
- Frontend & API Integration: Seamlessly integrate frontend interfaces using React to ensure smooth, real-time user interactions. Build and maintain RESTful APIs for external integrations, including Twilio, ensuring scalability and performance in real-time communications.
- Cloud Deployment & CI/CD Pipelines: Manage cloud deployments with Vercel, setting up CI/CD pipelines to streamline feature releases and ensure reliable, fast deployment practices for quick iteration and optimization.
- Admin Interface & Reporting Tools: Customize and maintain admin tools using Laravel Nova to support internal teams. Develop flexible dashboards and reporting tools to provide valuable insights for healthcare professionals and internal teams, leveraging AI and machine learning systems.
- AI & Machine Learning Integration: Contribute to the integration and enhancement of AI-driven systems, ensuring the platform adapts dynamically to user behavior and scales intelligently.
- Collaboration with Product & UX Teams: Work closely with product managers and UX/UI designers to ensure new features are intuitive, functional, and aligned with our user experience goals.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize system performance, scaling applications to handle high demand while managing bottlenecks that impact real-time communication and matching.
- Data Security & User Privacy: Implement robust security measures to protect sensitive data and uphold user privacy. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA by regularly auditing and updating security protocols, and contribute to developing secure coding practices within the team.
Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
- Proven experience in backend development using Laravel and Laravel Nova, with a focus on building secure, scalable systems.
- Familiarity with frontend development technologies like React, with the ability to contribute effectively across backend and frontend projects as a full-stack developer.
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and experience integrating with third-party services such as Twilio.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like Vercel, including managing CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployment and version control.
- Proficiency in database management using MySQL or PostgreSQL, with the ability to optimize queries for performance and scalability.
- Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to complement React frontend development.
- Familiarity with QA testing methodologies and tools for writing unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to data security and compliance. Understanding of security best practices to protect sensitive information.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively. Resourceful when you need to get the answer.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven track record working in an agile development environment, with the ability to iterate quickly based on user feedback and evolving project requirements.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices and coding standards.
- An enthusiasm for learning new technologies and adapting to changing project needs.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Familiarity with Inertia.js for developing single-page applications that offer a smooth, dynamic user experience.
- Proficiency in Twilio SDK for integrating communication functionalities, including SMS, voice, and chat services, ensuring reliable real-time communications between stakeholders.
- Understanding of version control systems like Git and experience working in CI/CD environments.
- Hands-on experience with AI-related technologies, such as OpenAI or similar, for implementing machine learning models, AI-driven conversational interfaces, and other intelligent automation solutions to enhance platform capabilities.
