Full Job Description
Responsibilities: The faculty member duties are to include but are not limited to:
1. Ensure educational delivery of all content contained in learning objectives.
2. Preparation of learning activities and assignment for students
3. Review and update lesson plans and activities.
4. Attend all faculty meetings and Program Advisory Committee meetings as requested.
5. Maintain Inventory of supplies, materials and texts for his/her program
6. Complete periodic peer classroom observations
7. Record monitor and follow-up on student attendance.
8. Comply and ensure compliance and reporting of all school’s policies and procedures.
9. Comply and ensure compliance and reporting of all student conduct matters.
10. Counsel as needed students on all academic matters.
11. Maintain retention goals and targets as directed by School Administration
12. Work to help students achieve satisfactory academic progress.
13. Maintain and adhere to all school policies outlined in the SPP and School Catalog
14. Adhere to all safety measures in the classroom.
15. Supervise all labs activities conducted by students.
16. Engage in ongoing development of individual teaching skills, complete annual continuing education requirements and other items outlined in the annual faculty development plan
Requirements
Educational /Credential Requirements
THIS POSITION IS ON SITE
Spanish a plus not required
A Master’s degree with appropriate coursework and preparation in the subject area(s) taught with appropriate distribution of related subject credits.
Must have a minimum of 15 semester credit hours (or equivalent) in related subject areas that support the curriculum content
High School Diploma
Experience and Professional Qualifications
1. Previous teaching experience in general education or a related field is highly desirable.
2. Experience Using LMS Canvas a plus
3. Strong knowledge of general education principles, theories, and practices.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and motivate students.
5. Demonstrated ability to design and deliver effective instructional materials and assessments.
6. Proficiency in utilizing educational technologies and online learning platforms.
7. Flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to collaborate with colleagues.
8. Commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the classroom.
9. Organizational skills and attention to detail for maintaining accurate records and assessments.
10. A passion for teaching and a dedication to fostering student success.
