Geologist

Hire Resolve’s client is seeking a motivated Geologist to join their team in a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting geological surveys and analyses to support various engineering and environmental projects. You will collaborate with other scientists and engineers to deliver high-quality results for clients.

Responsibilities:

• Field work, site investigation, and characterization, including sediment, soil, surface water, air monitoring, groundwater sampling, drilling, and contractor oversight.
• Data analysis/visualization of site investigation data including the preparation of tables, maps, and figures.
• Environmental due diligence, regulatory compliance services, and permitting.
• Aquifer testing and hydrogeologic data collection.
• Supporting fate and transport modeling, natural attenuation evaluations, and risk assessment.
• Preparation of written documents such as proposals, work plans, and investigative reports.
• Assisting in the development of proposals and other business development activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in geology or a related field. (required)
• Advanced degree in geology or a related field. (preferred)
• Project experience involving soil, surface water, groundwater, and sediment sampling, drilling, soil/rock core logging, and groundwater monitoring well installation.
• Project experience involving site investigation, data analysis, surface water and groundwater flow modeling, and reaction transport modeling.
• Project experience in conducting data analysis that meets operational and regulatory needs and objectives.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or GIS software.
