Full Job Description
Fetch Specialty & Emergency Veterinary Centers is seeking a Help Desk Technician to join our dedicated IT team. The Help Desk technician will respond to IT requests from staff and provide support where needed, focusing on tracking each request to its resolution in a timely manner. This includes resolving technical issues on both Mac and Windows systems, maintaining and performing administrative functions in various systems used by Fetch staff, and basic troubleshooting of equipment specific to veterinary medicine.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to users via phone, email, and in-person
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues
- Administrative maintenance in various systems used by staff
- Diagnose and repair computer problems
- Install and configure software and hardware
- Maintain and update computer systems
- Provide training and guidance to users on new technologies
- Document and track support requests
- Assist with IT equipment procurement and inventory management
- Stay up-to-date on the latest technology trends
- Collaborate with IT team membes on projects and initiatives
- This position will be based out of the Brandon office, but some travel to the other hospitals may be required.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems
- Experience with hardware troubleshooting and software installation
- Basic understanding of networking concepts
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Familiarity with both Windows and Mac operating systems
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity with remote support tools
- Experience working in technical support
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Veterinary experience is a plus
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, and Security+ are preferred.
