Requirements
The Tampa office of Kubicki Draper is currently seeking a Litigation Paralegal with 3+ years of Insurance Defense experience with billing experience in the areas of bodily injury, UM and construction experience.
Qualifications:
· Prior experience in insurance defense litigation, bodily injury and/or general liability, um and PIP preferred
· Prior experience in reviewing and summarizing medical records and bills, preferred
· Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as strong organizational skills needed
· Working knowledge of Florida Court procedures preferred
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
· Experience with billing/timekeeping for insurance defense cases;
· Ability to manage a case load, ensuring effective progression and adherence to legal standards
· Draft and issue subpoenas with accuracy and efficiency, inclusive of follow up on records
· Draft, review and file legal documents such as pleadings, motions and discovery responses
· Prepare Trial Binders and court materials, when needed
· Manage and organize exhibits and evidence for depositions and trials
· Monitor and ensure compliance with court deadlines and requirements
· Summarize medical records, bills and supporting documents, as well as create medical chronologies and bill summaries
· Communicate with clients, carriers, experts and counsel effectively
· Competent in the use of Word, Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Adobe & Excel
· Must be task orientated.
· Ability to work independently in a fast paced friendly environment
