POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Medical Education Coordinator will assist in the daily operations of the Medical Education Operations Department (MedEdOps). The position will be responsible for managing the Learning Management System (LMS), including the creation of courses, education sessions, grade books, etc. as well compiling and formatting all classroom exams, administering and grading exams, maintaining and calculating grades, posting of all teaching materials, and taking attendance, when required. The position will have significant interaction with both students and faculty, and an amicable professional demeanor is essential. This position is full-time and in-person.

MISSION:
The mission of the Orlando College of Osteopathic Medicine (proposed-seeking accreditation) is to train caring and competent osteopathic physicians who will have an impact on the Central Florida community, our nation, and our global community.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
General Duties:
- Compiling and formatting all classroom exams
- Administering, managing proctors, and grading exams
- Maintaining and calculating grades in all classroom and laboratory courses
- Create LMS courses and maintain courses for faculty
- Posting all teaching materials, including online course material
- Contribute to the approval process of all excused absences, as designated
- Review all item analysis from exams and determine when to post grades for students
- Assist in the Curriculum Mapping process
- Submit all course final grades to the Registrar at the end of each semester
- Fully apply FERPA/HIPAA guidelines regarding data access, files, and records
- Maintain an up-to-date list of student and faculty access
- Communicate effectively with all levels of faculty and students
- Maintain class attendance records, as required
- Perform other duties as assigned
Data Collection Duties:
- Maintain and track student performance in exams, quizzes, labs etc.
- Maintain and track curriculum and assessment mapping as required
Requirements

- Must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively, and diplomatically interact with all university constituents, and balance multiple projects in stressful situations, while meeting deadlines and maintaining positive relations
- Must have the ability to analyze a situation, provide one-on-one feedback, and effectively handle and resolve problems
- Hands-on knowledge/skill of database programs and/or spreadsheets are important
- Computer proficiency with MacOS and Google Workspace
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Must be local to the Central Florida area

EXPERIENCES:
- Experience working in an institute of higher education desired, medical school experience preferred
- Experience working with an LMS system preferred
EDUCATION:
- GED
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Computer Science or related field preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up and carry up to 25 pounds at a time
- Must be able to travel 50% locally and 25% overnight
