The Role:

We are on the lookout for a passionate, intellectually curious, and skilled Operations Manager who has a knack for providing cross-functional tactical and strategic support. This position will report directly to the Distribution Manager in the Florida Market.

At the heart of this role is the management of warehouse operations to ensure seamless delivery of products and services to Showroom’s clients in Florida. Additionally, you will oversee the facilities and equipment within our in-market distribution centers, ensuring our team members operate in a safe, clean, and efficient environment.

This position is a vital addition to our team, playing an essential role in the successful growth of Showroom.

Requirements

Basic Purpose:

Oversee and direct facility operations to achieve the highest level of safety, productivity, and customer service, constantly focusing on cost and labor efficiency.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Perform administrative duties, including but not limited to approving time cards, scheduling workforce to support operations, establishing employee goals, periodic reviews, one-on-one mentoring, and training of direct reports.
  • Lead and assist in daily operations, including but not limited to performance feedback, project implementation, continuous process improvement, supplier quality, and communication with internal business leadership and employees.
  • Manage warehouse process and performance (through metrics and KPIs) to meet customer expectations and business goals.
  • Provide the team with adequate resources, including tools, equipment, supplies, knowledge, and staffing.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for warehouse activities as required.
  • Monitor and improve operations, ensuring a safe work environment – with the goal of zero OSHA recordable annually.

Required Education and Experience:

  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience in related field
  • 3+ years of management experience required
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and experience with other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to make decisions and act independently in performing work and projects
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with all levels of the organization; ability to write clear, concise correspondence to internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to identify, collaborate, and problem-solve issues and understand overarching business priorities
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on identifying root cause issues, summarizing findings, and proposing solutions.
  • Forward-looking focus on transforming/automating workflows and analytics to drive business decisions
  • Well-organized with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines
  • Experience in In-Home furniture delivery
