Join The Green Air Group in our pursuit of excellence! We're currently in search of a dedicated Project Manager to lead our Electrical Construction department. This role offers ample opportunities for advancement within our organization.

As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for meticulously planning and executing various electrical construction projects from inception to completion, with minimal supervision.

 

Your duties will include managing project budgets, procurement of supplies, coordinating with subcontractors, and ensuring strict adherence to NEC codes, as well as federal, state, county, and city regulations. Additionally, you'll oversee permit acquisition and handle both administrative tasks and hands-on project work.

Job Description:

  • Pre-Construction
    • Provide project leadership.
    • Develop, manage, and coordinate the construction schedule.
    • Assist in project strategy and implementation.
    • Negotiate contract agreements with external vendors.
    • Create Project Implementation Plans required by the client and the Company, including construction operations plans, Activity Hazard Analysis, Risk Management Plans, Safety Plan, etc.
    • Negotiate and hire subcontractors and collaborate with engineers and architects as necessary.
    • Maintain an inventory of equipment and materials.
    • Work with the Construction Administrator to obtain the necessary permits and licenses from authorities for construction sites.

  • During Construction
    • Oversee construction project(s) from start to finish.
    • Manage the master budget and project budget.
    • Determine the required equipment, materials, and manpower.
    • Maintain inventory, tools, and equipment.
    • Ensure supplies and equipment are ordered and delivered on schedule.
    • Enforce strict implementation of all applicable safety protocols.
    • Prepare reports on job status and address any issues that may arise.
    • Continuously assess risks involved in every aspect of the job.
    • Train and mentor construction workers and laborers based on project size.
    • Collaborate with subcontractors, engineers, architects, and key project team members.
    • Ensure all deadlines are met.
    • Delegate responsibilities.
    • Allocate and manage resources to ensure availability throughout the construction projects.
    • Keep all stakeholders informed of project progress and regularly prepare progress reports.
    • Ensure timely submittals and billing.
    • Handle any environmental or local community issues that may arise during a project.
    • Conduct site checks to monitor progress and maintain quality standards

  • Post Construction
    • Collect and deliver all necessary close-out documentation to the client on time.
    • Ensure smooth and cost-efficient demobilization.

  • Department Responsibility
    • Provide mentoring.
    • Implement and maintain the company's processes and procedures
    • Develop training programs for employees to promote their growth and adherence to company procedures.
    • Communicate regularly with direct reports regarding expectations, goals, and performance, including quarterly performance reviews and ongoing feedback.

Requirements

Core Competencies Desired:

  • An Active Certified Florida Electrical License is strongly desired but not mandatory.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • PMP or an equivalent certification would be considered an asset.
  • Experience with ServiceTitan is optional but advantageous.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage/master the overall primary responsibilities of an Electrical Project Manager.
  • Proven track record of taking a proactive approach to issues/management.
  • Experience in establishing, maintaining, and managing budgets for construction projects.
  • Demonstrated understanding of electrical plans and timely response to RFP and RFI during construction.
  • Demonstrated ability to delegate, mentor, and lead associates.
  • Excellent knowledge of construction materials and equipment.
  • Highly organized.
  • Excellent knowledge of relevant rules and regulations, as well as quality standards and human resources.
  • Experience in conflict resolution and conflict management.
  • Able to multitask with a strong understanding of core manager duties.
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal abilities, including negotiation skills.

Working Conditions:

  • The position requires work in a construction environment.

Benefits

 

Compensation and Benefits:

This position offers a salary range of $85,000 to $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience. Additionally, the job provides a competitive pay package that includes a company vehicle and a comprehensive benefits package. The benefits package consists of medical, vision, and dental insurance, paid time off, and holidays.

Candidates who hold an active Florida Certified Electrical Contractor License will receive a significant increase in pay, ranging from 30% to 40%.
