Full Job Description
This position is responsible for assisting in the operation of department. An individual in this position will be expected to perform additional job-related responsibilities and duties throughout the facility as assigned and or as necessary.
Essential Functions: An individual must be able to successfully perform the essential functions of this position with or without a reasonable accommodation.
- Assisting Account Managers with Project Estimating, scope development and fundamental design for turnkey projects. Development of Sub-Contractor scope of work documentation.
- Manage the development of Hardware and Software Design Submittals, Installation drawings, Sequence of Operations and Commissioning and/or Validation Documentation.
- Materials Specification, Ordering, Tracking and Installation support.
- Manage and schedule project Software development, installation and commissioning.
- Manage and schedule field technician’s startup and commissioning efforts.
- Maintain up-to-date As-Built documentation throughout the project lifecycle. Coordinate final Turnover Package to Owner to include, Design documentations, System Backup, Recover and General Use Training, Warranty and Service Department turnover.
- Responsible for all Project Related and Customer Required Documentation, including at a minimum; Submittals, RFI’s, Schedule, Safety Compliance, Commissioning and/or Validation.
- Oversee the performance of engineers and subcontractors ensuring that all work is completed on schedule and to specification.
- Oversee/Manage project closeout to completion.
- Managing contracts and sub-contracts.
- Responsibility for Monthly Invoicing and Project Forecasting.
- Track, identify and control construction costs against budget to avoid cost overruns.
- Oversee monthly and quarterly assessments and forecasts of project financial performance against budget, financial and operational goals.
- Support a performance-based culture, both team and individual, to assure continuous improvement and alignment with enterprise vision, mission, and objectives.
- Drive employee engagement, training, and development in the key areas of safety, quality, and productivity.
- Provide direct oversight for the field team including supervisors and technicians.
- Develop and manage the department budget.
- Ensure regulatory compliance across a range of federal, state, and local agencies.
- Ensure that all quality and safety standards, specifications and policies are met, drive continuous improvements, and collaborate with the team to drive efficiencies.
- Support a culture based on open/honest dialogue and involvement with all team members that demonstrates the value of their input and engagement in improving performance.
- Drive a culture of high performance and accountability in employee and site safety as well as other aspects of the business.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field preferred, however, an equivalent combination of education and experience (High School Diploma or GED equivalent a minimum requirement) will also be considered.
- Equivalent experience, vocational school, or an Associate degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning or a similar field is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of Construction Project Management.
- Hardware and Software Design for BMS and/or Process Controls.
- ACAD or Visio Drafting Skills.
- Software configuration and programming for BMS and SCADA PLC systems.
- HVAC and Mechanical System Checkout, Startup, and System Commissioning.
- Familiarity with the Automated Logic hardware product line and network architecture is required.
- Required 5 years journeyman level experience and certification in one or more of the building trades; High school diploma or GED; supplemented by vocation/technical training in general construction (carpentry), plumbing, wiring, HVAC, etc.
- 3-5 relevant work experience in the field or related area that provides the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities for the job.
- Prior experience leading, coaching, and mentoring others.
- Prior experience supporting construction and field employee groups, including strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and self-initiative.

- Demonstrated ability to coach managers and supervisors to use company practices for maximum effectiveness.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills; high-quality document and report preparation.
