Job Summary: We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Part-Time/contract Social Media Content Curator. This role will play a vital part in crafting and curating engaging content for our social media platforms, ensuring that our online presence is aligned with our mission and values.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Content Creation: Collaborate with marketing to create original content, including graphics, short videos, and captions for social media posts.
- Scheduling & Posting: Collaborate with marketing in the scheduling of social media posts across platforms
- Trend Monitoring: Stay up-to-date with social media trends, tools, and platform updates to keep content fresh and engaging.
- Collaborative Projects: Work with marketing on social media campaigns and special projects to promote events, collaborations, and other initiatives.
Requirements
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Creativity: Strong creative skills with an eye for visual design and storytelling through social media.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Tools: Proficiency in social media tools and basic video editing apps
- Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a part-time capacity.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with social media platforms and trends, particularly within higher education
- Team Player: Collaborative mindset with a willingness to work with other departments and contribute to team goals.
Education and Experience:
Previous experience in social media content curation, management, or digital marketing is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
