Medical Director - Fetch Specialty & Emergency Veterinary Centers

Looking for something different?  Fetch Specialty & Emergency Centers is looking for a Medical Director to help lead our talented team in Brandon, Florida.

The Medical Director role is a hybrid position with 50% clinical and 50% administrative duties. They will be responsible for overseeing the medical operations within the hospital, serve as a mentor to staff, and lead the advancement of high quality patient care and client services.  The candidate will serve as the immediate supervisor of the associate veterinary staff.  The Medical Director will work closely with the Chief Medical Officer, COO, CEO, and hospital management team to optimize the medical practice and flow, help  evolve the ideas and policies for sustainability and support the team members in their goals.  

Job Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership, vision, and direction to the veterinary medical team
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care and client service
• Oversee the training, mentoring, and development of veterinary team members
• Collaborate with the executive team to develop and implement practice-wide policies and protocols
• Participate in the recruitment and hiring process of veterinary staff
• Manage and resolve client concerns and complaints

Requirements

• Veterinary license in good standing
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in veterinary practice
• Completed a residency and board-certified 
• License in the state of Florida in their specialty
• Prior leadership or management experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
