The Assistant Controller oversees all financial and accounting activities and reports directly to the Corporate Controller. This role involves maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting strategic financial planning. The Assistant Controller will collaborate with various departments to ensure financial integrity and support the organization's financial goals.
This summer, our company was acquired by Boldyn Networks, and we are integrating our finance and accounting policies, practices, and systems. This isn’t a static, “business as usual” position. This is a work from home position with preference given to candidates in New York City, Atlanta or Austin.
The salary range for this position is $100,000-$140,000 depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
People Management:
- Lead and manage a team of accounting professionals
- Provide coaching, guidance and performance feedback
- Foster collaboration and continuous improvement
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to management.
Accounting Operations:
- Manage daily accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.
- Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
Compliance and Audit:
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, federal, state, and local regulations.
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Financial Analysis:
- Conduct variance analysis and identify trends and opportunities for cost savings.
- Support strategic financial planning and decision-making processes.
- Prepare ad-hoc financial reports as required.
Systems and Processes:
- Meaningfully contributes to the implementation and maintenance of accounting systems and software.
- Streamline accounting processes and procedures for efficiency.
- Ensure data integrity and security in financial systems.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA certification preferred.
- 5-8 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Experience in a supervisory role
- System Integration
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Workday, NetSuite).
