Full Job Description
We’re Scan.com, the digital health scale-up making diagnostics accessible, fast, and transparent. From MRIs to tests for TBIs, our technology speeds up diagnoses for timely treatments, improving healthcare outcomes for hundreds of patients each day.
We’re doing diagnostics differently, with a portfolio of brands tailored to both patients and providers, all backed by our world-class customer operations team. Our B2C marketplace simplifies booking a scan, making it as straightforward for patients as booking a hotel. Our B2B platforms provide live scheduling at the point of care and harness AI to ease workflows for physicians, attorneys, and providers.
We’re looking for a Scheduling Specialist at an exciting time - we’ve successfully launched multiple platforms and products, raised over $60m in VC funding, reached profitability, and have a growth trajectory of over 300% for 2024.
WHAT YOU WILL BE GETTING INVOLVED IN:
We're seeking a hard-working and diligent scheduling and operations specialist to support the growth of Braincussion, our National virtual TBI (traumatic brain injury) assessment service. You will be the fourth member of Braincussion's operations team and a key contributor to our team's success.
We have recently launched our TBI assessment service line, Braincussion, as a service line, and it is rapidly scaling. We have big ambitions to do thousands of assessments and referrals by the end of the year, and we are looking for a scheduling specialist who will work alongside the existing team to provide the highest quality service for our patients.
As a rapidly scaling business, you can expect your role to develop over time. However, some of the types of things you could be getting involved in are:
- Schedule patients for TBI Assessments using scheduling software and tools
- Communicate with patients and troubleshoot scheduling issues
- Collaborate with other departments and maintain a positive demeanor
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and protect patient privacy
- Participate in professional development and support other areas of the business
For the first 6 weeks, you will be expected to be in office Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm. After you're comfortably onboarded, the role will be hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days at home).
THE TOP 5 THINGS WE WANT YOU TO ACHIEVE IN YOUR FIRST YEAR ARE
- Optimize scheduling operations to support business growth
- Enhance communication skills for patient satisfaction
- Implement new processes for scheduling operations and scalability.
- Foster positive stakeholder relationships to support cross-functional collaboration
- Attend professional development opportunities for personal and business growth
WHAT YOU MIGHT BRING TO THE TABLE:
You don't need to tick all the boxes to apply for this role. Whether it's your first or fifth role, we believe everyone can add value and should want to learn. However, these might be some of the ways you are currently adding value:
- Fluent in English and Spanish to communicate effectively with patients
- Relevant experience in scheduling or customer service with a focus on healthcare
- Outgoing and empathetic personality to provide a welcoming and supportive experience for patients
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with clinicians and team members
- Attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills to identify and address scheduling issues
- Comfortable using scheduling software and other relevant tools and committed to ongoing learning and professional development
HOW WE WILL INTERVIEW YOU:
We try to keep our interview process short, so we can move through the stages quickly. Due to availability, there may be a change to the order of the interview process, but generally speaking, this is what you can expect:
- Introductory call/interview with Sam, our Senior Talent Partner. The call is via telephone and will last around 30 minutes.
- If there is an initial fit for all, we will invite you to our office for an in-person interview with the Operations Lead, Brad.
- Offer!
BENEFITS:
We go beyond the basics with our benefits package. Here’s what you can expect from us:
- Salary range of $42,000 - $45,000
- 401k
- Healthcare, Vision and Dental
- All the equipment needed for you to do your role effectively
- Flexible working
- Remote or hybrid working options
- Personal Development budgets
- 18 days PTO plus public holidays
- 10 paid sick days
- Inclusive policies designed by our team, for our team
