The Buyer will provide ownership for purchases made by the organization which will include vendor evaluation and inventory management. We are seeking an individual with great attention to detail, and a strong understanding of manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities
- Lead purchases for organization across multiple raw materials categories (resin-based products, shipping supplies and other items as necessary to support Operations) and suppliers.
- Review inventory levels and adjust Kanban stocking targets
- Work with the Sourcing Manager to help develop and implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of materials and resolving any issues that arise.
- Monitor and analyze inventory levels to optimize purchasing decisions and maintain appropriate stock levels.
- Work closely with Operations Team to ensure that materials are on hand to support all production requirements.
- Utilize ERP to track and monitor order status, payments, and deliveries.
- Evaluate supplier performance based on key performance indicators and implement corrective actions where necessary.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field strongly preferred.
- 3-5 years proven experience as a purchasing specialist/buyer in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in using ERP and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work both autonomously with little direction & collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Energetic, analytical, self-motivated, dependable individual with good communication and people skills
- Familiarity with the INFOR ERP System a plus.
