Full Job Description
Engineering Design Technologies, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Project Engineer to assist the Superintendents and Quality Control Managers as a member of the onsite field management team.
The principal duties and responsibilities of the project engineer consist of the following:
· Receive, review, forward and track status of submittals.
· Initiate, prepare, review, track, and distribute RFIs.
· Update and maintain accurate contract documents for construction.
· Assist with onsite safety inspections and reporting.
· Assist with onsite QA/QC inspections and reporting.
· Assist with field management of subcontractors.
· Assist project team with documenting job progress using photos and as-builts.
· Assist VDC/BIM team with tracking and resolution of clashes & conflicts in coordination modeling.
Requirements
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree – Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent.
· Preferred 3 years or more experience in commercial construction management.
· Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications.
· Excellent computer skills, with proficiency in MS Office, Bluebeam.
· Experience with construction management software, such as Procore or Autodesk Construction Cloud.
Additional preferred experience:
· Field experience, functioning as an integral member of a project’s field management team.
· Experience and knowledge of Navisworks and/or Revit.
· Experience with US Army Corps of Engineers or similar federal projects.
