Symmetrio is recruiting for a Director of Marketing Communications for the Americas for our customer, a global medical device company. The Director of Marketing Communications (Americas) will be responsible for driving the development and execution of marketing communication strategies across the Regions. The candidate will work closely with the Vice President of Marketing, providing strategic direction and operational support to ensure alignment with global objectives while catering to local market needs. This is a position for a person who has a varied skill set, who has performed many of the tasks by the team and can do them without a huge support team. The optimal candidate will have experience in healthcare, preferably in a small to medium size company or start up experience. The position is based in Atlanta.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive marketing communications strategies and plans for the region, in line with business objectives and brand identity.
- Lead and manage a team of marketing communications managers and specialists, offering guidance, coaching, and feedback to ensure effective execution.
- Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, media, agencies, partners, and customers.
- Evaluate and optimize the performance and impact of marketing communications activities and campaigns using various metrics and tools.
- Manage the marketing communications budget and resources efficiently and effectively.
- Collaborate with regional product and market experts to create and execute marketing communications plans tailored to the RAM market.
- Oversee marketing plans for Mexico, Central America, South America and Canada.
- Facilitate communications planning and omnichannel marketing approaches to adapt to market and company changes effectively.
- Collaborate with imaging partners to drive market penetration and execute co-marketing programs in the Region.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 10+ years of marketing-related experience in healthcare B2B.
- Cross-channel marketing communications experience, particularly in digital space and public relations.
- Proficiency in working within complex matrix global organizations.
- Demonstrated leadership skills in leading cross-functional teams and influencing without direct authority.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, self starting environment.
- Experience working across cultures and internationally in a matrixed environment.
- Strong communication, leadership and influencing skills.
- Ability to communicate key messages effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred:
- Experience in medical technology.
- Advanced degree (e.g., Marketing, MBA, Advertising, Communications, etc.).
- Proficiency in Workfront, Salesforce, QlikSense, Definitive Healthcare, Percolate.
- Proficiency in Spanish and/or French as a second language.
