Responsibilities

• Implement a health, environmental and safety structure for Exotec's North American region, ensuring compliance to these standards.
• Enforce policies to establish a health and safety culture and ensure adherence and consistency to these policies.
• Evaluate practices, procedures and equipment to measure risk and compliance.
• Identify training needs and prepare, in conjunction with internal the Training team, learning modules on health, safety and accident prevention.
• Recommend solutions, improvements and/or prevention measures.
• Keep abreast of any updates to regulations and disseminate these changes to necessary teams.
• Support other locations in accident prevention and safety-related initiatives.
• Report on KPIs of health and safety awareness, issues and statistics.

Requirements

• Similar experience in a worksite and occupational safety role, ideally at least 5 years
• Experience looking after health and safety for multiple site locations.
• In-depth OSHA knowledge and a strong understanding of other national, state and local regulations (certification highly preferred)
• Flexibility with up to 60% regular travel
• A solutions-oriented approach to problems
• A high level of autonomy
• Transparent communication skills and an ability to collaborate with multi-cultural teams across international locations
