Full Job Description
Our client, a customer service orientated company, is currently seeking a General Manager with expertise in the retail and/ or training industry. As the General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall operations and performance of the business. This is a key leadership position that requires a strategic mindset, strong business acumen, and the ability to drive sales and profitability.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to drive sales and increase market share.
- Manage and mentor store employees.
- Ensure that all operations are efficient and aligned with company standards.
- Monitor and analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activities.
- Work closely with the training department to develop and implement training programs for staff.
- Collaborate with other departments such as marketing, merchandising, and operations to ensure seamless business operations.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
- Oversee inventory management and ensure optimal stock levels in stores.
- Prepare and present reports on sales performance, trends, and forecasts.
- Stay updated on industry developments and apply best practices to drive business growth.
Location: Pittsburgh, PA
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in management in a B2C environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven track record of driving sales and achieving business targets.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth knowledge of operations and industry trends.
- Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
- Experience in training and development is highly preferred.
- Proficient in using management software and systems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Willingness to travel as required.
