The Lead Implementation Engineer will be responsible for the end-to-end implementation of the Venafi lifecycle management tool. This greenfield project involves deploying the tool, ensuring it integrates seamlessly with existing systems, documenting processes, and operationalizing the solution to meet business needs. You will play a crucial role in setting up the tool, creating best practices, and ensuring its successful adoption and utilization across the organization.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Tool Implementation: Lead the deployment and configuration of the Venafi lifecycle management tool. Ensure that the tool is set up according to project requirements and integrates effectively with existing systems and workflows.
- Project Management: Manage the implementation project from initiation through to completion. Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and deliverables.
- Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation for the Venafi tool, including installation guides, configuration procedures, user manuals, and operational processes.
- Operationalization: Develop and implement operational procedures to ensure the smooth day-to-day functioning of the Venafi tool. Train internal teams on tool usage and best practices.
- Integration: Work closely with IT and security teams to ensure the Venafi tool integrates seamlessly with other security solutions and systems within the organization.
- Testing and Validation: Conduct thorough testing of the tool to ensure it meets functional and performance requirements. Identify and address any issues or gaps.
- Support and Troubleshooting: Provide ongoing support for the Venafi tool, including troubleshooting and resolving any issues that arise. Ensure the tool’s reliability and performance.
- Best Practices: Establish and promote best practices for using and managing the Venafi tool. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements to continually enhance the tool’s effectiveness.
- Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and ensure alignment with project goals and expectations.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Proven experience in implementing and managing lifecycle management tools or similar enterprise solutions. Experience with Venafi or other certificate management solutions is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Strong technical proficiency in configuring and deploying enterprise tools. Experience with system integration and troubleshooting complex issues.
- Project Management: Excellent project management skills with a track record of delivering projects on time and within scope. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Documentation: Exceptional documentation skills with the ability to create clear and comprehensive guides, procedures, and manuals.
- Operational Expertise: Experience in developing and implementing operational procedures and best practices for enterprise tools.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications or advanced degrees are a plus.
