Background and Company Overview

KMS Technology is a privately held technology company based in Atlanta and with operations in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam and Guadalajara, Mexico. Founded by Vu Lam and Josh Lieberman in 2009, KMS Technology started with its offshore product development (OPD) business and added additional consulting services in recent years.

KMS remains owned by Vu, Josh and its employees. KMS Technology is 100% owned and controlled by KMS and the team. KMS Technology currently employs approximately 1,300 people in Vietnam, Mexico and the United States. 

Leo Tucker is the CEO of KMS Technology, and this position will report directly to Leo. Vu and Josh remain on the KMS Technology Board of Directors.  

KMS Technology operates 3 business lines: KMS Software, KMS Software, and KMS BFSI. Each business is in growth mode, and each is tasked with growing via organic and inorganic avenues, as well as services delivery capabilities, new offerings, and in-demand skillsets. 

KMS Software is looking for someone to run the business line and to help accelerate KMS’s growth. This role will direct all Software business line activities and report to Leo Tucker, CEO of KMS Technology.

Job Summary

The President of KMS Software will be responsible for developing KMS’s Software strategy, then building and executing that strategy to drive growth. This position requires an individual who has intimate knowledge of the Software Industry, an understanding of the Agile software development process, and a strong professional network in the industry. This person must work well with teams, be client and market facing, and have the aptitude and willingness to both think strategically and in roll-up-your-sleeves mode. The Software President will work closely with the executive management team to run KMS Software and maintain KMS’s company culture.

The Software President is responsible for understanding the application of Software technologies to solve industry challenges. Specific job responsibilities include:

Define and own the Business Strategy, Delivery and Overall Performance

• Define a sustainable and predictable business strategy and model that allows KMS to aggressively grow the business
• Lead sales, marketing and delivery teams
• Lead services delivery process and development of services accelerators
• Define revenue, profit and delivery goals to drive significant growth
• Manage revenue and all KMS Software costs to drive a high contribution margin for Software
• Manage a team of over 400 people globally in the Software business

Oversee the Relationships with KMS’s Software Clients

• Manage relationships with all KMS Software clients
• Monitor the delivery of services to all KMS Software clients
• Optimize profitability of services delivered to all KMS Software clients
• Upsell/Cross Sell new services to all KMS Software clients

Serve on KMS Technology Executive Leadership Team (ELT)

• Attend regular meetings at the KMS ELT level, contributing across the entire KMS Technology business
• Participate on an as-needed basis in KMS Technology key initiatives, including M&A and fundraising activities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a related field; MBA or other relevant graduate degree is a plus
• 10+ years of experience leading Software technology application development or consulting projects/practices and providing direction for professional exempt employees.
• Good understanding of business and Software operations.
• Prior leadership or management experience with the ability to manage matrixed teams across geographies and vendor partners.
• Demonstrated ability to motivate, coach, counsel and train staff.
• Effective communication skills, including facilitation, consultation, negotiation and persuasion.
• Ability to communicate with clients about Software technology challenges and issues.
• High level thinker and leader to build a nimble, agile, and "can do" culture.
• Possess innovative, creative, and entrepreneurial mindset.
• Superior writing and editing skills
• Outstanding public speaking skills
• Ability to manage and mentor junior staff
• Open to travel on an annualized average of 35% of the time including international trips; peak can be 100% for a period of 2-3 weeks
