The Quality Manager is responsible for overseeing and administering the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with both customer requirements and company standards. This role is critical to the company’s commitment to delivering exceptional products and maintaining its reputation for quality and innovation in the industry.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/TASKS
- Drive continuous improvement while maintaining all deliverables required by ISO9001 and ISO 17712 (and other ISO standards as needed).
- Oversee and maintain the Customer Complaint/Non-conformance procedures to address and resolve quality-related issues effectively.
- Collaborate with all departments to ensure consistent communication and resolution of quality issues.
- Develop and implement procedures to maintain high standards of quality, reliability, and safety across the company’s products and processes.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and emerging standards in product development by determining and enforcing quality and safety requirements in coordination with relevant departments.
- Coordinate product testing – incoming, in-process, finished product audits, and support Supply Chain and R&D testing efforts
- Serve as the main liaison with external parties, including customers and regulatory bodies, regarding quality system matters.
- Lead problem solving initiatives and train organization on finding root causes and implementing effective corrective actions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, with additional coursework in management, quality control, and problem-solving methodologies.
- 5-10 years of diverse technical experience, with at least 2-3 years in quality administration or quality engineering.
- 3-5 years of experience managing technical teams
- 2 years of experience in quality management.
- Familiarity with Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing principles, Statistical Process Control, PFMEA, DMAIC
