Requirements
You will work hand-in-hand with the Heads of Engineering, Architecture, Product, and TechOps, contributing to the improvement of current products while also taking a pivotal role in the creation and launch of a new, globally-scaled CPaaS platform. Additionally, you will spearhead the commercial expansion of Commify’s North American division by establishing a robust partnership with the SVP/General Manager. As the Software Engineering leader in the USA, you will infuse the role with your passion for technology, dedication, and forward-thinking vision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and drive the technical vision and strategy for the US software engineering team, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.
- Collaborate with executive leadership and other departments to create and execute project roadmaps that meet customer and business needs.
- Oversee the software development lifecycle, ensuring best practices in coding, architecture, testing, and deployment.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and advancements, integrating relevant technologies to enhance our platform.
- Champion a culture of continuous learning and improvement, encouraging team members to acquire new skills and knowledge.
- Lead the integration of engineering teams and technologies for the USA, applying Commify best practices and processes within the acquired organisation
- Assist in the execution of technical due diligence during mergers and acquisitions. Focussing on maintaining and improving service levels, identifying and mitigating risks.
- Manage relationships with external partners and vendors to enhance our technical capabilities.
- Promote and implement agile development methodologies to optimize team performance and project delivery.
Essential Qualifications:
- Deep understanding of cloud architecture, microservices, and distributed systems.
- Demonstrated experience of Agile transformation and leading teams using agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
- Strong Expertise in Quality Engineering and can clearly articulate the steps required to ensure functional and non-functional quality in loosely coupled cloud solutions.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in driving innovation and change in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Technical Knowledge
- Proficiency in modern software development languages, frameworks, and tools, including .NET, C#, JavaScript, and others.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, RESTful APIs, and messaging protocols.
