Community Empowerment Resources is excited to announce the March 2024 opening of the Stabilization Intensive Case Management (SICM) Crisis Facility located in Kula, Maui.
Positions are available as long as this ad is posted! We are looking for several new team members!
This position is onsite in Kula, Maui. The facility operates 24/7/365. This facility is a residential facility in a residential neighborhood.
**Currently Hiring for all shifts both full time and part time. Multiple positions and schedules available.
You will be developing clinically-based treatment relationships with persons experiencing various types of crisis and many are diagnosed with serious and persistent mental illness and substance use disorder. You will be helping them integrate into the community using a structured recovery plan: obtaining psychiatrist visits, medications, housing, substance abuse treatment, legal coordination and other services.
You will report to the crisis stabilization facility to work with individuals in crisis, work with the treatment team, communicate with stakeholders in the community, and complete referrals and applications. Case Managers also host skill building and recreational groups onsite to aide in client recovery and maintain a therapeutic environment for individuals experiencing crisis.

Community Empowerment Resources is a local non-profit founded in Hawaii over 17 years ago. On Oahu, we have multiple programs and are looking forward to bringing our programs to Maui!
This position has opportunity for growth! After opening this program, we will be hiring from within through internal promotion opportunities for Team Leader and Supervisory positions.
We are a close-knit agency, and you will have ample support from your supervisors. Your treatment team includes managers with an open-door policy and licensed professionals who are always available to consult with you at any time.
Additionally, you will have regular team meetings, clinical supervision with your supervisor, and ongoing behavioral health training. We provide ample training on evidence-based practices and community resources. Our approach to treatment is highly team oriented, so you always have the support of your peers and supervisors.
Requirements
- Required High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
- Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Health, Nursing, Counseling (or similar degree with course work in psychology)
- Preferred 6-12 months experience (work, volunteer, or a combination) with at least one of the following populations: severely mentally ill (SMI/SPMI), developmentally disabled (DD), elderly, children, or other special needs populations.
- Preferred: Access to a vehicle and valid driver’s license, clean driving abstract, and valid safety check. We do have non-driving positions available but paid at a lower rate of pay.
- People who do well in this role are skilled in communication, time management, and are able to respond calmly under pressure/during crisis situations
