CTI is seeking a Lab Manager to join our team in support of the Vanguard Force Command Capability (VFCC). The VFCC Lab Manager will be responsible for overseeing the operations and management of the VFCC laboratory, which is designed for research, testing, and integration of advanced technologies and capabilities. As the Lab Manager, you will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and scientists to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the laboratory and to support the development and implementation of cutting-edge solutions for our clients.
The VFCC Operations Manager oversees logistics and support activities within the VFCC. Coordinates facilities maintenance, supports visiting DVs, receives shipped equipment, plans and organizes events, and supports collateral and SCI security activities.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Planning, scheduling, coordinating, and managing the execution of events in VFCC, including managing logistics for install and upgrade teams; coordinating experiments, war games, and operator engagements; and administrative coordination of leadership summits, technical exchange meetings (TEMs), and Distinguished Visitors (DVs)
- Synchronize VFCC operations with the VFDE, remote operational sites, and vendor support teams to maintain an appropriate readiness posture to meet mission needs.
- Initiate and coordinate with NAVFAC, USINDOPACOM, and MARFORPAC facilities on all maintenance and repairs of the VFCC, including the reception of new equipment and upgrades.
- Support collateral and SCI security activities, including COMSEC management and visit support leveraging DISS, JADE, and the local Lenel badging system.
This position is located at the VFCC facility at Camp Smith in Honolulu HI.
Requirements
Necessary Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Lab Manager or in a similar technical role in operations management.
- Excellent ability to delegate responsibilities while maintaining organizational control of VFCC operations and customer service
- Proficiency in personnel management and conflict resolution
- Knowledge of business productivity software and an aptitude for learning new applications
- Experience with laboratory operations, including equipment maintenance, inventory management, and safety protocols.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in operations management, information technology (IT), or a related field.
- Must have an active U.S. government Top Secret security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
