Position: Account Manager (Americas)

PaneraTech, Inc. is seeking a highly experienced and self-motivated Account Manager to join our dynamic sales team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for identifying, cultivating, and maintaining strong client relationships while driving significant sales growth in the glass industry. This is an individual contributor, outside sales role with responsibility for North and South America. Our offering combines patented sensors, software, data analytics, and human expertise into a multi-year managed service contract.

Our clients include major heavy manufacturing industries such as steel, glass, cement, copper, and aluminum, all of which rely on high-temperature processing to melt tons of material daily. We focus on three key areas:

  1. Operations Optimization for Near-Term Cash Flow Improvement: We assist manufacturers in optimizing their melting operations to achieve immediate financial benefits. By leveraging advanced sensors, data analytics, AI, and human expertise, we help our clients enhance efficiency, reduce operational costs, and improve cash flow in the short term.
  2. Asset Life Extension: Our patented solutions in the glass and steel industries enable manufacturers in over 40 countries to make data-driven decisions. By utilizing cutting-edge technology, we help extend the lifespan of furnaces, resulting in longer operational campaigns while increasing both annual production and safety.
  3. Bridging the Experience Gap: As a generation of experienced operators and engineers retires, we provide technology and expertise to bridge this gap. Our solutions empower early-career professionals to quickly understand complex processes while helping traditional workers become more comfortable with new technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Challenge and Consult: Engage clients in thoughtful discussions, listen actively to understand their needs, and challenge their thinking with innovative solutions that drive value.
  • Build and Maintain Relationships: Establish strong relationships both top down and bottom up based on an understanding of their business needs.
  • Develop and Execute Sales Strategies: Drive the end-to-end sales process from lead generation to deal closure to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Collaborate Internally: Work closely with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and the successful implementation of solutions. A key to this collaboration is regular and concise update of our CRM solution, Salesforce.
  • Stay Informed: Keep abreast of industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats.
  • Provide valuable insights for product/ service enhancement

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration or related real-world experience.
  • Bilingual, either English/Spanish or English/Portuguese
  • Experience selling on the ground in at least one country outside of one's home country.
  • 10+ years demonstrated success in consultative selling, preferably into heavy manufacturing or industrial sectors. Experience with Challenger Selling and MEDDPICC is a plus. Experience selling digital transformation is a plus.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. Must have experience with face-to-face, as well as virtual selling.
  • Strong problem solving and negotiation abilities.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • While the job is remote, you MUST currently live in the Americas.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary up to 50%. Live within one hour of a hub airport is a plus.
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal. Business fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is a plus.
