Who You Are:
Museum of Ice Cream is looking for our next Assistant General Manager to join our fun-filled team. You are thoughtful and ambitious, confident in leading a team full of joy ambassadors, performers, actors, and foodies. To be considered for this role, you are a people operator, a hospitality and experience lover and truly understand the power of imagination and connection! You need a strong background in experience, training operations and HR. You take great pride in delivering a memorable guest experience and maintaining a seamless operation.
Your Day-to-Day:
PEOPLE
- Lead a team of managers to grow people, building, food, and retail operations
- Create and participate in new hire onboarding activities for team members, ensuring a high standard for delivery
- Train, recruit, and oversee managers plus over 50 staff including ongoing professional development
- Conduct and structure quarterly training sessions for staff
- Establish and maintain a proactive human resource function to ensure employee motivation, timeclock entry, training, scheduling, wage and benefits administration, and compliance with established labor regulations
- Assist with the location schedule and apply the practices of labor optimization when scheduling to support great guest experience
HOSPITALITY
- Develop Museum’s business strategies and build sales and hospitality techniques to contribute to the Museum’s business performance.
- Responsible for “running the floor” during service. This includes guiding and coaching the team, solving guest complaints, and ensuring that we are providing excellent service
- Ensure scripts and operations manuals are consistent and up to date
- Work with General and Guest experience managers to execute written reviews and rankings for staff
- Work with guest experience managers to monitor the performance of museum in terms of guest satisfaction and determine proper courses of action
- Ensure good health and safety practices of employees and guests, assisting in the maintenance of proper emergency and security procedures
- Develop and maintain standard operational procedures specific to the location managed
TRAINING SUPPORTING PROFIT
- Work with HQ Operations team to implement monthly, quarterly and yearly business plans and reporting
- Create and implement operating systems and processes needed to run operations efficiently
- Monitor operating efficiency on a weekly basis by assessing costs and analyzing any unwarranted movement
Requirements
The Necessities and Nice-to-Haves:
- Food Handler / ServeSafe certification and alcohol training certified
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Good observation skills
- An ability to deliver constructive criticism
- An ability to identify weaknesses and provide coaching where necessary.
- Leadership and time management skills
- Demonstrate personal and customer service skills

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
