We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Category Manager to join our Logistics team at Wealth Recruitment, LLC. As a Category Manager, you will be responsible for strategically managing the logistics category, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution. You will develop and execute strategies to optimize our logistics operations, improve efficiency, and drive cost savings.
In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including supply chain, operations, and procurement, to identify and align on business objectives and deliver value to the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement category strategies for logistics, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and service providers, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier relationships.
- Drive operational efficiencies and cost savings through supplier optimization, process improvements, and performance monitoring.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align on business requirements and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor industry trends and developments, and incorporate best practices into category management strategies.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in category management, specifically in logistics.
- Strong knowledge of transportation, warehousing, and distribution practices and processes.
- Proven track record of delivering results and driving cost savings through strategic sourcing and supplier management.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in using industry-standard tools and software.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
