Cybersecurity Manager

This Sr. Manager/Manager role (based on experience) will lead a team responsible for cybersecurity across the enterprise. They will protect IT assets against threats, evaluate and prioritize risks, implement mitigation strategies, maintain compliance, enhance security awareness, and validate the effectiveness of security tools and infrastructure.

The role will interact and partner with various stakeholders including business owners, infrastructure engineers, and application developers to design, implement and operate security solutions. They will serve as a subject matter expert across multiple security domains like threat/vulnerability management, incident response, cybersecurity training, and daily operations tasks. The ideal candidate will have enthusiasm for security automation and engineering efficient solutions.

Critical Job Functions:

- Provide technical expertise and oversight of the cybersecurity and compliance team.

- Advise leadership about cybersecurity risks and mitigation plans.

- Ensure regular security operations tasks including triage of alerts, vulnerability management, endpoint security, network security operations.

- Collaborate with infrastructure teams to design and build secure technologies.

- Recommend, design, build and deploy automation tools to streamline security operations.

- Collaborate with dev teams to advise on application security in the SDLC.

- Stay informed on industry trends to be proactive.

- Manage vendors/third-parties for cybersecurity technology contracts.

- Lead security audits and responses to security questionnaires.

- Perform regular reviews of security tools, services, and training for improvements.

- Lead cyber incident response efforts, analysis, and implementing takeaways.

- Ensure relevant standards, policies, procedures and controls are in place for a secure environment.

Requirements

Job Requirements:

- Bachelor's in computer science, IT field or equivalent experience

- 2+ years managing employees in a managerial role

- 3+ years experience in security operations role (minimum)

- 5+ years in security operations/engineering role (preferred)

- Experience securing cloud technologies (preferred)

- Scripting/automation experience with REST APIs (preferred)

- Windows and Linux operating systems

- Endpoint detection and response, next-gen firewalls, vulnerability management, email security systems, incident response

- Positive attitude towards customer support and desire to help

- Ability to effectively multitask and prioritize

- Security certifications like CISSP, CCSP, CISM etc. (preferred)

- Highly disciplined and able to work independently

- Exceptional written/verbal communication skills

- Excellent time management and organization

- Compose and perform all-staff cybersecurity training
