Seeking a Visionary Director of Process Automation for a Global Food Manufacturing Leader

Your Role:
- Foundational Leadership: Spearhead the establishment of our automation department, setting the stage for cutting-edge practices in process automation.
- Management and Strategy: Oversee an Engineering Manager dedicated to the design and selection of advanced control systems for our large-scale processing plants, including PLCs, Networking, DCS, and SCADA systems.
- Innovation and Improvement: Conduct thorough analyses of our current machinery, utilities, and layouts to identify and implement automation opportunities that significantly boost efficiency and effectiveness.
- Project Excellence: Drive automation projects from conception to completion, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring projects align with our strategic goals.
- Operational Support: Offer strategic guidance and technical support to our Maintenance team, enhancing field operations with the latest in automation, sensor technology, robotics, and servo control.
- Strategic Project Management: Deliver top-tier project management services across departments, continuously advocating for operational advances and technological integration.
Requirements
Who You Are:
- Educational Foundation: You hold a BS/BA in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, with a Master's or MBA highly preferred.
- Experienced Professional: Bringing 10-15+ years of hands-on experience in engineering, controls, and automation within a manufacturing context, you are well-versed in the dynamics of consumer products, food, snacks, high-speed packaging, or closely related environments.
- Automation Expert: Your background is rich with automation and controls engineering projects, including capital project management, robotics, and high-speed packaging equipment.
- Knowledgeable Leader: Your strategic approach to managing multiple sites is backed by a comprehensive understanding of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).
- Communication and Planning: You possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, alongside adept planning and prioritization abilities.
