Full Job Description
Job Title: Remote Endpoint Management Engineer
Salary Range: $70,000 - $85,000 per year
Our client is seeking a skilled Endpoint Management Engineer to join their remote team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing the full lifecycle of end-user hardware, OS, and applications, as well as creating new solutions to enable users and advance business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain a secure desktop infrastructure through patch management and compliance reporting
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and install and maintain hardware and computer peripherals
- Produce and maintain desktop standards, knowledge base, operating procedures, guidelines, and system documentation
- Develop and implement engineering standards and processes
- Serve as an escalation point of contact, focusing on restoring services
- Package, test, and deploy system and application updates/patches to the end-user environment
- Build automation into daily processes to improve ease of doing business
- Recommend and implement improvements to desktop architecture and design
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a computer-related field with 2+ years of experience in desktop management, or 5+ years of experience in desktop engineering technical support
- Extensive experience with SCCM imaging and patching (3+ years)
- Proficient in InTune (2+ years) and Azure Autopilot (2+ years)
- Experience automating processes through scripting (e.g., PowerShell, batch)
- Experience providing Tier 3 support
- Positive and proactive attitude towards customer support and a desire to help people
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to develop quick, sound solutions to complex problems while demonstrating a sense of urgency
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Excellent time management skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment to achieve business goals and objectives
