Allwyn North America is headquartered in Chicago, and currently operates the Illinois Lottery under a private management agreement while seeking other opportunities throughout the U.S. We also provide products and services to lotteries and their players throughout Europe and the United States.
Position Overview:
The Retail team responsibly grows Illinois Lottery sales through a network of over 7,000 Chain and Independent Lottery Retailers by partnering and collaborating with the State of Illinois Lottery as well as the Marketing, Product, and Digital Commercial functions at Allwyn.
The Retail team maximizes the performance of all Illinois Lottery Retailers by getting the basics right and building best practices in all areas of Lottery retailing, which drives record-breaking Lottery sales results year after year.
Responsibilities:
- 95% of the weekly work requirements will be in the field
- Support training needs of the state sales team.
- In-store visits with the state field staff for specific training needs (e.g. new game or game change training), as well as ongoing improvement (e.g. successful visits, how to sell, etc.)
- Gem (CRM) Field Support
- Administrative responsibilities for Gem (CRM)
- Manage compliance, budget, and state field team coordination for Independent promotional programs and events. Including Ticket give-away promotional program
- Provide leadership vital field insights as it pertains to consumers and retailer trends. While creating a Camelot Illinois in-field presence
- Assigned top Independent Retailers in their geographic area. With an assigned visit/call cadence, in support and coordination with the Lottery field staff.
- Support CIL and state staff with field/on-premise execution of vending optimization and Out of Stock compliance
- Provide Partnership team with in-store support of their IL Lottery programming and opportunities, Walmart & etc..
- Manage the Top Lottery Retailer Award Program
- Provide on-premise support, coordination with the state staff at retailers that have sold a Large Winning Ticket, etc.
- Manage “ Lottery Store Program '' Coordinate with the state team and third parties. At retailers that will receive a POS-PPOS refresh and special banners. Including the testing of new in-store, exterior signage and promotional pieces
- Manage Retailer Excellence program
- Retailer Excellence- Scorecard Store Visits
Requirements
- 2-5 years experience in training or retail management role
- Hands-on experience coordinating multiple training events
- Excellent organizational skills
- Solid communication and presentation abilities
- Strong desire to exceed customer expectations
- Ability to manage the full training cycle, including in-person activities and web-based learning
- Hands-on experience with e-learning platforms
- Must have a source of reliable transportation.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in applicable discipline or related experience.
- Experience in a sales position
- Additional certification in training
- Operating rhythm with purposeful pace and agility
- Solution and action-oriented
