Hayfin is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our Partner Solutions Team as a Coverage professional with responsibilities on North America consultant relationships, based in Chicago.
Hayfin’s global Partner Solutions Group is comprised of dedicated business development professionals across the Americas, Europe and APAC, with further support from a deep bench of additional Investor Relations colleagues (30+ in total). In this role, you will have responsibility for developing and enhancing Hayfin’s relationships with investment consultant partners, who are a critical component to our fundraising activities, as well as expanding our market presence in the region.
Our Consultant Coverage efforts are assisted by a cross-section of our Investor Relations professionals. You will work closely with other senior members of the Americas Partners Solutions team in pursuit of new business opportunities, building relationships with potential clients, triangulating engagement across clients & consultant relationships, and promote our investment strategies to our consultant relationships.
A successful candidate will conduct themselves with a high degree of professionalism and will have demonstrated an ability to build relationships and assist with new business development opportunities. Strong interpersonal and communications skills, extensive knowledge of alternative investment strategies, attention to detail, culture carrier, and a rigorous work ethic are prerequisites. Prior work experience fundraising for alternative investment strategies is critical.
- Engage with existing industry networks, identify and pursue new business opportunities through the consultant channel, maintaining and expanding core relationships with existing consultant relationships.
- Key component of establishing and executing annual consultant coverage plan for the region aligned with specific goals based on the firm’s priorities.
- Direct engagement with a wide range of consultant roles across; research, field consultants, OCIO platform, and senior management.
- Close coordination with broader client coverage team in identifying critical consultant relationships to enhance relationship for new business opportunities.
- Assist with the cohesive, programmatic coverage of North American consultants through both tactical servicing efforts and strategic relationship building.
- Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends, client needs, and competitor activity to stay ahead of the market and position the company as a thought leader.
- Work closely with the investment team to develop and present investment solutions to consultants.
- Attend industry conferences and events to promote Hayfin's brand and expand network.
Requirements
- At least 5-7 years’ alternatives fundraising experience, with explicit experience with North American consultant relationships.
- Proven track record supporting the fundraising process and meeting targets.
- Strong knowledge of alternatives, with a specific focus on public and private credit investment strategies
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively articulate complex investment concepts.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain long-term consultant relationships.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented mindset with a strong work ethic
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
