Jupiter Power is looking to grow its Procurement team with the addition of a Procurement Analyst. The Procurement Analyst will work with the Senior Procurement Manager to help determine supply needs and research potential suppliers and prepare cost-benefit analyses for review by management. Along with various procurement related activities to help achieve company goals. The Procurement Analyst will work closely with the Engineering, Construction, Development, and Legal departments to ensure project success.
Requirements
· Bachelor's degree in finance, Business, Engineering, or related field
· 3+ years of related experience
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
· Experience with cost analysis, logistics, or procurement activities
· Deep understanding of spreadsheet manipulation to include pivot tables and functions
· Excellent communication skills and ability to presents complex financial concepts in an understandable format to key internal and external stakeholders
· Strong negotiation skills
· Experience supporting procurement initiatives for EPC or Construction operations
· Experience with the renewable energy sector (solar, wind, battery energy storage systems), is strongly preferred
Responsibilities
· Lead procurement activities required for the sourcing of BESS, High Voltage, and PCS equipment along with various project related material and/or services.
· Facilitate the internal review/comparison of the project budget within the equipment scope.
· Update Development/Engineering with current lead times and project delivery dates.
· Negotiate additions, deletions, or modifications to contracts, purchase orders and resolve invoicing issues.
· Responsible for the timely updating of the departmental contract tracking system.
· Assist in the financial analysis of RFPs, prepares weekly/monthly reports, and conduct forecast exercises for Procurement objectives.
· Source and purchase machinery, equipment, tools, raw material, packaging materials, parts, services, and/or supplies as necessary.
· Collaborate with the supplier quality team, category leads, and manufacturing to reduce non-conformance incidents, resolve outstanding claims/issues.
· Compile information to keep informed on price trends and manufacturing processes.
· Monitor order quantities and Procurement/supplier related inventory policies (ie VMI) to optimize inventory and production slot availability.
· Provide logistics support between suppliers, off-site warehousing, and project construction site as necessary
· Follow and execute established and approved procurement policies and procedures to provide the best value consistent with quality and service requirements while maintaining positive supplier relations.
· Attend various trade shows, events, meetings, etc to maintain and develop relationships throughout the industry.
· Manufacturing facility visits / audits as necessary.
