Responsibilities:
As a Production Planner, you will be responsible for the planning and execution of our company's forecast, production schedule, and materials plan. Your key responsibilities include:
- Collaboratively working on-site with customer service, operations, procurement, and engineering to confirm/create schedules.
- Adjusting/expediting schedules as needed in coordination with customers.
- Taking charge of Master Data Controlling.
Production Planning:
- Analyzing customer orders/forecasts for capacity and materials availability, providing commitment while collaborating with the Operations team for capacity validation.
- Planning and directing the preparation of schedules to conform to delivery dates, manufacturing capacities, and available labor.
- Releasing and monitoring work orders, taking necessary steps to maintain conformity with schedules.
- Providing regular summary reports on safety stock and delivery performance to the Operations team.
- Day-to-day interface with operations to ensure product readiness and release.
- Analyzing On-Time Delivery (OTD) variances, identifying root causes, and implementing effective corrective action.
- Coordinating between manufacturing, procurement, engineering, finance, and suppliers regarding component and schedule requirements and changes.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Material's Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years' experience using MRP/ERP computer systems in a manufacturing environment (SAP preferred).
- 5+ years of production planning and/or master data management experience.
- APICS certification (or equivalent) preferred.
- Solid quantitative skill set with the ability to analyze, think, and communicate using well-supported data.
