RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGIST
General Summary: A rad tech position adding to the Genesis clinical team with the primary responsibility of X-Ray and Fluoroscopic imaging, to assist our clinical team in diagnosing injury. This role will consist of other clinical and clerical tasks as well.
Opportunity: Should there be interest expressed, opportunity to grow and learn extremity MRI will be made available, which will invest in one’s knowledge and practice.
EMR: Experience with Epic beneficial, but not required.
Language: English, Spanish Beneficial (not required)
Hours/Days: 8:00am-4:30pm on Mondays - Thursdays

Requirements
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Engages patients in the Genesis Experience through advanced and personalized care
- Prepares patients for imaging, and conducts imaging procedures (MRI, XR, Fluoroscope)
- Room patients and obtain patient information through interviews, vital signs and document in EMR system
- Assist in clinical and medical tasks including injection preparation, wound care, DME application and instruction in pre- and post-operative care
- Communicate physician or physician assistant instructions to patients on their care
- Triage phone calls
Education: Degree in radiologic technology.
Certifications: Certification by the ARRT within 6 months of beginning job and Licensure by the Illinois Department of Nuclear Safety required.
Experience: Relevant experience as X-ray technician. Familiarity with the responsibilities of a medical assistant preferred and in orthopedics preferred.
Experience: Epic (EMR): 1 year (Preferred)
Language: English, Spanish (Preferred, not required)
License/Certification: ARRT Certification (Required)
