Summary of Your Role:
As our Territory Sales Manager, you will be at the forefront of lead generation, customer support, quoting, order closure, and post-sales assistance, all within the niche of selling capital equipment to OEMs. Collaborating seamlessly with internal teams and customers, you'll play a pivotal role in executing a strategic sales plan. Your mission? Identify, evaluate, and capture new business opportunities within the territory, while nurturing and expanding existing accounts. We're seeking an individual with exceptional consulting skills, capable of engaging with customers at all levels, from engineering and purchasing to management.
Essential Duties & Core Responsibilities:
- Professionally present our impressive product catalog to both technical and non-technical groups within the realm of selling capital equipment to OEMs.
- Drive business development by generating new leads and opportunities for our diverse line of capital equipment products.
- Dive deep into understanding our customers' industries, applications, processes, and equipment needs in the context of OEMs.
- Provide swift, detailed, and accurate equipment quotations tailored to each OEM customer's unique applications.
- Proactively follow up on opportunities, inquiries, and quotations, employing effective communication and sales strategies to overcome barriers and close deals in the realm of selling capital equipment to OEMs.
- Maintain a robust opportunity pipeline, engaging with both existing and potential OEM accounts to generate new sales.
- Foster strong collaboration with internal teams (Engineering, Operations, Customer Service, Finance, and Sales) to support various sales activities specific to capital equipment.
- Work closely with Customer Service partners on live quotes, RFQs, order status inquiries, and other customer-focused deliverables within the context of selling capital equipment to OEMs.
- Analyze industrial heat treatment trends and competition within your assigned OEM territory, developing effective strategies for new sales opportunities.
- Cultivate productive relationships with key stakeholders at all levels within an OEM customer's organization.
- Provide diligent support to OEM customers through design/purchase cycles and post-sales phases.
- Conduct calls, emails, and visits with design engineers, buyers, and other professional and technical personnel within the OEM realm.
- Synthesize and present product and service recommendations to our management team with a focus on selling capital equipment to OEMs.
Requirements
Qualifications & Skills:
- Demonstrate sound judgment, integrity, and business ethics.
- Bring valuable business development experience to the table, particularly in the context of selling capital equipment to OEMs.
- Be a team player aligned with business goals to achieve results.
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree (Engineering degree preferred).
- Boast 5+ years of industrial sales experience, with a preference for sales engineer experience in selling capital equipment to OEMs.
- Exhibit a proven track record in achieving superior sales, profits within various industrial manufacturing accounts, and successful customer relationships, specifically with OEMs.
- Possess strong attention to detail and the ability to comprehend technical requirements for capital equipment used by OEMs.
- Be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Showcase organizational skills and technical proficiency.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office software; experience in CRM is preferred.
