We are looking for a Sales Manager to join our Chicago team, this role will focus on developing customer relationships through the sales process for CtrlChain. Which includes identifying new customer targets and establishing commercial relationships.  

Your main role at CtrlChain:

  • You will be focused on strategic revenue growth driven by commercial relationships and focus on developing a robust pipeline of activity.  
  • You will be the first point of customer contact and will be responsible for clearly communicating the guidelines and requirements.
  • You will require travel to visit customers, predominantly in the US. Also, ability to manage workload effectively while travel is essential.  
  • You will work to maintain a high level of operational service by providing customer feedback and expectations; assisting in coordinating communication between operations and customer as required.  
  • You will participate in customer quarterly business reviews, acting as the champion for the customer.  
  • You will be responsible for identifying areas of operational improvement, substantiated by KPI’s and be able to clearly create and manage solutions that address the needs of the customer.  

Your main tasks at CtrlChain: 

  • You will actively pursue and solicit new customers for CtrlChain related activities. 
  • You will effectively manage the sales pipeline. Utilizing tools to communicate sales activity, upcoming events, and revenue expectations.  
  • You will support operations team with customer feedback on current business and possible new business lanes and areas of growth. 
  • You will represent CtrlChain internally and externally in a professional manner.  
  • You will also be accountable to meet established KPI’s for CtrlChain sales managers. Inclusive of revenue targets and gross margin targets. 
  • You will manage customer expectations with respect to operation and customer service needs.  
  • You will collaborate with internal and external teams to identify customer needs and opportunities.
  • You will establish and maintain strong working relationships with transportation-related vendors, helping to drive best overall value for CtrlChain.  
  • You will work in identifying opportunities for revenue upgrade and rate increases where applicable for customers.  
  • You will be directly responsible for delivering increases and applying them.  
  • You will actively manage customer retention and ensure churn / lost customers is held to an acceptable standard.  

Requirements

Who are you?

  • You have a completed Bachelor’s degree. Operational or Business degree (or certificate) is a big plus.  
  • You have more than 7 years of work experience in Supply Chain. 
  • You have 3-7 years of work experience in a Senior Management role in Supply chain or Logistics. 
  • You have strong skills presenting and managing stakeholders on strategic level. 
  • You have excellent business planning skills. 
  • You have supply chain and logistics expert level skills. 
  • You have ability to embraces change and innovation, copes well with uncertainty and ambiguity, approaches tasks with curiosity and proposes solutions. 
  • You have ownership for priorities, works and communicates with honesty and integrity and excellent communication skills. 
  • You have action oriented skills, committed to results, contributes to success, takes the next step, shows passion and motivation. 
  • You have ability to work on dynamic environments, remains optimistic and persistent. 
  • You have ability to share information and knowledge, seeks to understand and build on differing perspectives to enhance team efficiency, communicates openly. 
  • You demonstrates ability to meet and anticipate the client’s needs, continuously seeking to improve the quality of services and products.
